HOW TO USE HILTI POWDER ACTUATED TOOLS

Hilti's powder actuated tools training for installers and site supervisors

To ensure safety on the jobsite, the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992 requires all powder actuated tool users to receive training. Hilti's training consists of a digital learning session as well as a practical session conducted by the Account Manager. After successful completion of the training, users receive a license.

Our Hilti powder actuated tools training is a mix of theory and hands-on training, designed for installers and site supervisors.

It can be tailor made to your own needs on your own jobsite, or join a preplanned session at our local Hilti premises.

During the hands-on session you’ll find out more about the safe use of powder actuated tools and the different applications the tools are used for.

WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THE TRAINING

The training consists of a digital learning session as well as a practical session conducted by the Account Manager. It will cover:

  • How to use our powder actuated tools and different applications
  • The safe use of powder actuated tools
  • How to read and follow the instructions for use

  • How to handle products and tools safely
  • How to decide which powder actuated tool is suitabe for my application
  • How to maintain and service tools
  • License to operate powder actuated tools in NZ which is mandatory according to the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015

TRAINING PROCESS

Individual Session

  • Do your online pre-reads
  • Contact your Account Manager to do a Face to Face Training. If you do not have an Account Manager contact Hilti 
  • Fee for Face-to-Face sessions is $25
  • Licenses will be mailed into your inbox

TRAINING PROCESS

Group Session

  • Contact your Account Manager for a classroom session where they cover theory and practical session
  • Fee for Face-to-Face sessions is $25
  • Licenses will be mailed into your inbox
